What's the word on the Buck/Mayo Northshore? ...

Well both are good knive, the hilo being alot bigger. Bother are framelocks which I trust more than liner locks and best of all they are in classic 440C

I haven't actually handled one, but even the modified price looks a little steep for a liner locking, 420HC bladed knife with aluminum handles... though it does look pretty. I'm also not a huge fan of non circular thumb holes. I find them to provide less purchase, and sometimes it can make opening it awkward.

I do like the chive though.

440C? They both say 420HC. Which is Bucks current steel for most blades.

Knew that about Buck. Didn't know Kershaw used much 420HC.:o

Yeah- it's a bummer... some of the most expensive 420HC out there too. The chive is nice and thin though, and in my (admitedly limited) experience is actually a pretty nice knife. I'd like to see it in a slightly nicer steel while remaining affordable though...

The TNT is on the high end for me also. I like the CPM and Ti but ... still ...
