I have this NMSNFO on the exchange and I'm not 100% sure what handle material it is. I think it's G-10; it's not as shiny as it looks in the close-up. I see what looks like fiberglass cloth. Don't think it's paper micarta; possibly linen micarta? Any opinions.

I got my money on: black canvas Micarta...

the weave is fairly coarse to be paper Mic-- you can barely <if at all> see the fibers in paper Mic...

From where I'm sitting, it's also looks a bit too coarse to be linen...but maybe not ...

So yeah...black canvas Mic....that's my answer and I'm stickin to it...

there's a pretty wide variance in batches of Micarta even within the same color / material families since they are outsourced and made of natural materials the supplier has on hand at the time...

...maybe a top HOG will weigh in with a definitive answer

Meant to say canvas. :o Don't know why I wrote linen. Maybe too much to drink last night lol

Pyk, if it ever starts to look like pink elephant hide to you, cut back on your imbibing...short of that, Carry on!

My first impression when it came up on the Ex. was "That's black canvas, looks similar to the patina on my TGLB handles"

take a look for yourself, it has a fairly tight weave also, and looks nice and shiny <almost g10 like> like yours...

I would say black canvas micarta. There is a double black available. It is much darker than what we normally see on the site.
