I've been reading through posts here and I see some folks talking about an Idaho 110. Did they used to be made somewhere else or did they used to be made in Idaho?

I ask because my 110 which I bought about 2 weeks ago (my first buck ever) has the Idaho state engraved on it. Is that an Idaho 110? What's the significance?

Sorry. I'm new to Buck. ;)

The Buck factory has traditionally been in California. They closed the California factory and built a new one in Idaho. You can probably learn a lot more from a forum search.

Best Wishes,
Bob

Joe,
Here's a little more info...

Buck has a long history in California, so the move to Idaho was a big deal. For years now Buck has used blade stamps to signify the year of manufacture. The 2005 stamp was the Idaho silhouette to commemorate the move to that state.

Other stamps are listed on the Buck web site:

Here are some year stamps that may not be on the Buck site. Least it hasn't been updated last time I looked.

2003 - T standing up
2004 - T inverted
2005 - T laying on its Left side (offshore)
2005 - Idaho (USA ) Only year this will be used...
2006 - T laying on its right side

When you say "offshore" you talking Japan or something?

Not Japan, as far as I know, but Buck is having some models made both in Tiawan and China.
