Hello all. Can anyone tell me what kind of Khukuri this is. It's 15in. The guy I got it from said it's a BAS, but it doesn't have any of the correct characteristics of one that I can see. It doesn't look like any of them on the HI site. The blade is marked like a WWII, but it has a much wider belly than the WWII I have. Anyone know?

my money is on it being a bojpure :)
maybe even bgrs :D

im sure others will chime in

Well, it's a villager model, by the satin finish and white metal fittings. And from the shape of the chakma, I'm guessing a BGRS, or Baby Ganga Ram Special. They are usually 16 or 16.5" in length, but the Kamis throw us a curve from time to time. Nice looking piece!

Yes, 15" BGRS - what a beauty!

The characteristic that distinguishes the BGRS from the AK, Pen, BAS, WWII, etc...is that the spine is a long curve, rather than having a "bend" in it.

Baby Ganga Ram Special - typically 17.5-18"

The "baby" version of the Ganga Ram Special - 22"

Don't forget the flat spine - most HI models have a ridge down the spine, but my BGRS is flat. This one also has the typical rounded-top chakma.

Thanks for the pics.
