hello,

I have come across this bar, looks like a buzz bar,

Its 2ft x 2" x 1/2"

I was hoping that its bronze but how can I be sure?

Looks like a buss (buzz?) bar of some sort. Probably copper.

Hi Stacy,

its not copper, but it doesn't look like brass either, its brass coloured but at the cut has a coppery orange tinge.

It might be a bit daft of me trying to get an ID from a picture

The coppery-orange color sounds more like bronze or one of the brass alloys. If you have a large scrapyard near you, take it there and let them check it with an XRF gun. They probably will be able to ID it just by sight.

Aluminum bronze, silicon bronze, naval bronze, or 385 architectural brass, possibly.
