Jeff:
You mentioned in another post that you inspected non Masters Series 532s from a different project (for the file work). Can you elaborate. Is the 532 going to be available in some different forms! Thanks!

Jay,

In addition to the 532MS, Buck was also releasing some 532s with special scales...bone I believe. The original (circa 1991) had very thin cherrywood slabs... very nice looking. I'm sure that these bone handled 532s are what Jeff was referring to.

The 532s are American Heritage Oak sides.. I'm at home, so I'll check on who and what and how many. Its not a normal run. Also I haven't heard of a bone project. That would be a nice looking 532. Bob, Where did you hear of that? I'll check with special projects monday. Just because I haven't heard of it doesn't mean anything, you know the mushroom syndrome

Jeff,

Check model number 532JB. These are "jigged bone" limited runs that were introduced by press release around the same time as the Master Series. The 532JB has a MSRP of only a few dollars less than the 532MS. Bruce Bullman, among others, had them listed among the Buck models available for ordering.

Hope this helps.

Well, I found that Top of Texas knives lists the 532JB and for $37.50 + S/H. Chris and Marti don't have any in stock but will be checking monday for availability.

Jeff,

As previously stated I'm quite partial to the 532 model. I have the original 1991 cherrywood piece, a Masters Series (in your hands), and now, thanks to Top of Texas Knives, a jigged bone version (532JB) being shipped to me wednesday. Sure is a shame that this walnut one is going to escape my grasp

!
Hint! Hint! ...if there is a way.... let me know please.

Best regards!

Bob,
I thought you might ask about that... I'm trying to figure out a way to do it. I can't do alot outside of the system, might be construed as favorites, etc.... Trying to figure a way to do it inside the system, But we'll see...
looks like only about 400 will be built.
Jeff

Jeff:
The reason that I started this thread was that I was also interested in getting my hands on one of the walnut 532s!!! If you can
arrange it, I'd surely appreciate it. I'm also interested in the 532JB as well......
Thanks, Jeffrey (that's my name too!)
