What's This?

While I was in Thailand I found a lot of cheap bali's. One of which I have no idea what is. It has an old greek style handle made of what looks like aluminum and costed about 150 baut or about $3.50. It's latch fits into a slot which makes it lock well. And last the blade which is 4 inches ,and no markings, has a back that starts with a saw edge then half way through becomes a "fin" style. I would have posted a picture but my digital camera is broken. If anybody could help identify this I would aprecciate it.
