What's the deal here? There are several HH being sold, along with an equal number of HOGSJTLE being put on the market. Doesn't anyone treasure their recent INFI purchases anymore? I guess that it's fortunate for those who missed out at the trough, but there is definitely a premium being placed on the knives....

speaking of wich, i have 5 or 6 peices that need to go up.... been sitting here collecting dust.

i love the peices i carry, everything else just looks nice. and they make for expensive center peices. i replaced my heavy hear with a hogfsh, and i replaced my old 3rd gen .220sjle with the new hogsjle. everything else is just stuff i thought i wanted, but found that other busse's i have fit the bill better.

once i get my fbm and moab, i may end up selling the hogsh as well. heh.... dont think i'll ever sell my nick mod, since its sooo heavily modded outside of the shop. not sure i'd be okay giving it to someone knowing that i might have messed it up in the process.

blades coming up soon, and there have been a lot of knives available in the past month or so. people have a surplus of them, and a need for cash.

I'm keeping mine. I'll be happy to take any (taking up too much room in the safe ?) that anyone wants to give away!:D

NO SELLING ON THIS FORUM. ALL OFFERS FOR SALES OR TO BUY ARE TO BE DONE IN THE EXCHANGE.

Watch out Hammy is coming, no hints of any dealing/selling except in the exchange.

I'll be honest, I sold a few to have some money for Blade, maybe there will be a INFI FOLDER there!

Don't forget to watch out for me too. All dealing should be kept on the exchange, no two ways about it.

It definitely looks like a market correction doesn't it? You can tell that some folks jumped on the band wagon just for the ride. :D You can't just buy the darned things and turn them out in a week for a hundred dollar profit. That just isn't the way it is going to work generally speaking. Sure there is the occasional blade that goes through the roof, but that is just motivated buyers man. Some of the Rats have been like that as of late. Folks saw that and bought a bunch of blades at the final hour and now they are every where. If you are patient, you will find a guy who is not trying to make a mint on a sale here and there. Don't get me wrong, I snagged a few Howlers, but you know what, if a local guy or friend is in need of a good little blade, I have one on hand, if not then maybe I will have a few more boys down the road and they'll need a camp knife in ten or twelve years. If the market looks good, I might put one out, but that wasn't necessarily my intent in snagging them. Another thing to keep in mind is what the new offering might be. Keeping with the Rats as an example, if the new Howler type blade just doesn't float anyone's boat, then maybe the demand for the older ones will be even greater in a few months. You can't bank on it, but it is possible.

There's no way that I'm going to part with either of the HH's that I have; even if they can't have kids:D .....

Oh, Dear Lord!! Porkgunner's "co-collaborator" is also drinkin' the tap water !!!

When will the madness EVER end??? :D

Hey FTCollins, Nice to see another knife knut in the neighborhood...I live in Westminster

Busse aftermarket sales offerings seem to have a major peak in the weeks before Blade and a minor peak before Christmas. That coincides with the times that most knife nuts and Hogs are most likely to be conserving their cash, so it gets interesting. The market has been fueled for some time now by a substantial influx of new Busse afficianados and by the Heavy Heart and discontinued Rats mania. The new Busse production protocol may also be fueling the resale market because of the "sell one to buy the latest one" syndrome.

I have observed the Busse aftermarket go through several up and down cycles, both in number of offferings and in prices asked. The old supply/demand curve reeally works. The interesting thing about Busses is that even when the prices are down somewhat, the seller still makes money.

I am surprised that the "If Busses are so great why are so many people trying to get rid of them?" thread has not shown up in the General Knife Forum yet.
It usually does when there is a large number of Busse offerings. Their question should be, "if Busses aren't great, then why do people keep buying them at these prices?"

Selling for a differnet sort of trip. I don't think Kifaru packs go on sale and the cost adds up quickly!!

"if Busses aren't great, then why do people keep buying them at these prices?"

Busses are bad, bad, bad. People should stop buying them, especially when the next extravagnza rolls around. I've tried telling people that, but after they handle one unfortunately they think differently!!

Sorry about that Porkgunner, just seems like Mike has been more active since Cobalt has not been as busy lately. :D

It has to do with four very important factors, supply, demand, supreme performance and special occasions. Now, by special occasions I mean ANY TIME you want to buy the absolute best there is.................buy a BUSSE!!(like you guys need a reason!) money is not real, Busse knives are!
