The website doesn't seem to work. I get some other random page.

Anybody know anything about this?

They had a message telling they where making some changes to improve the web performances and that there could be some problems during that time. I'm sure it'll be working fine again in no time.

They are updating.

The actual NGK page is not up. You see a login screen for the webmaster to log into to make changes and such.

Yea.

I read yesterday they are updating the website to have real time inventory and also make it easier to navigate.

They said it could be up and down for 2-4 days. :)

Childbirth is painfull....we are upgrading...changing servers, adding customer search engine, etc,,,,the new website should be vastly superior to the 1998 vintage site we have used for 8 years...hopefully by mid-week, if everything converts according to plans, we will be all new and shiney.
Thanks for your concerns and patience..

looks like some folks are seeing our old site, some are seeing the new site, and some are seeing 'nuttin'...web guy says this is normal as the web crawlers search out new ISP numbers at different times of the day.
You brave souls ordering on the new system, if a bug (like one fellow got charged 12.00 for shipping) develops, we will strive to catch them before shipping. If something does not look right, give us a holler. I am an idiot with computers....only know what they cost....but my webguy is smart.
Thanks again for your patience.

They need a new website - I ordered a knife - then was told the next day - not in stock. They need to show what they have and what they don't have accurately.

Irabren...sorry, but that does happen. We try to keep site current, but with thousands of knives in stock, we fall short of perfection. Still striving though.

To me, they are better than many other sites.

The new website will only get them WAY better ;)

Hey Mike....just don't get those orders so screwed up in the new system that my knife orders morph into Glycerin Suppository shipments:D

PS. I really like the Jigged Bone Kiwi you shipped me last week.

Tim....how about a double edged glycerin suppository with biting barbs to reduce the chance of expulsion! :D
This new website thing is weird....I have the new site showing up at my home now. My webmaster uses the same ISP, lives 8 miles from me and has the old site showing....go figure..
--You might notice some regular stock items not on the new site (I noticed only 3 of probably 30 in stock Emersons models are showing on the new site)....please give us a few days to get all the links, pictures and descriptions up to speed.
If any of you poly-forums guys catch NGK-Webmaster goofing off here or USN or where-ever, tell him to get to work & send him back to the website. ;)

I like the new site.

I noticed some things "in stock" that are old discontinued items. Are these things you guys found while digging around or were they just not on the site before?

I ask because some of those things are a great deal.

Joe,,,,great deals  Holy moley....sounds like a BIG mistake.
The stress of this website conversion is unbelievable...I expect it will take a while to iron out snafus...Hope you folks will be understanding until we (errr, I mean my Webmaster) gets it all lined out.

Well, since the email came back "undeliverable" I'll just post.

You're showing you have a BM 771 and 773 for a darn good price.......is this true?

E-mails may bounce till everything is caught up between the servers and only one is handling everything. Like Mike said many "bugs" to work out.

Joe I think those were in stock. Don't quote me till I am in the store and can confirm though, Mike and I spent all weekend doing a inventory for the new site though.

Eh don't tell Mike I was here shhhhhhhh.
