When I took a look on their ordering form it says:
Orders received now are being scheduled for shipment in approximately 4 years, year 2018
Are they having legal issues or something? I swear i heard in an YT review that the average time is 5 weeks for a knife not 4 years LOL, anyone has any idea why it takes so long? not even RMJ Tactical has such long waiting periods...

Randall Knives are built in a small shop by some very talented folks -- check it out if you're ever in the Orlando area, it's worth the visit. Their knives are highly sought-after worldwide by collectors and users alike, not to mention dealers who order in volume, and thus their backlog is what it is.

Some dealers stock them regularly. That's your best bet.

When I purchased my first three Randalls in '86 the waiting list then was over two years then. It has never come down since then, only increased. For this reason I used a well known dealer to expedite my purchase.

Several well known dealers have standing orders with Randall and they will substitute the knife you want for one of theirs at a very competitive price. The last time I did this was in 2011 and it brought the wait down to around 9 months.

There are dealers who have arrangements with Randall for amounts of specific models, and those can be had within a few months. There is a dealer on the west coast who has been doing this for decades, and they will allow some change in handle, guard, etc. Ordering directly through Randall will be a long wait. Since Randall knives are bought, sold, and traded as investment and collection prizes also, pristine examples of almost every catalog (& some non-catalog) knife can be found on our lovely Interweb, at fairly stable prices. Randall knives are truly American classics; every collector should have at least one. I bought my stag 8-4 in 1980 in a 'brick&mortar' backpacking store that had several models in a glass case. Being able to handle several before I decided is still a fond memory. That knife, being carbon steel, is now full of 'adventure patina' from many outings. I wouldn't trade it for anything. Great knives.

Randall knives have always been handmade and have a significant backorder time as a result. I cut & pasted this statement from the A.G. Russell website "If we don't have the knife that you want in stock, we can usually have it for you within 5 to 6 months, because our orders with Randall are booked years in advance. For anyone wanting to order directly from Randall the price will be lower but the wait will be extremely long".

I ordered a mini Trailblazer Model 27 yesterday and it is the only knife online that they specifically say they will be able to fill within 12 months.

I have driven by there shop for over 25 years. I wonder if they have any on the shelf ready for sale to the walk in customer??

That's how I purchaded my first Model 14. Called them up and asked if they had any in stock and a week later had a brand new stock 14 Attack at my door for the $250.00 catalog price. I now have 3 model 14's and a 16 "Capt" model.
