Whats up with sog"s zytel handle

A few Days ago i went diving with my Sog seal pup knife in a local lake and after I was done swimming I checked my knife as usual and what i realized is that the knife handle was starting to crack :mad: can any buddy give me any information on zytel and what is going on with my handle:confused:? It would be helpful:D
 
I have got my seal pup soaking wet on numerous occasions and not dried it off for several days and my handles are fine. Maybe SOG can fix it.
 
could have sworn that zytel was as good as bone!
perhaps there were already faultly cracks at production which went undetected?
