What's ur top Multi-tool?

Mine is the 2004 LM Wave. Built like a tank, easy one handed opening blades, smooth opening tools, no nail breaking stiffness. Needlenose pliers are great. Diamond file. Straight edge AND serrated blades. Two sided tool bits. ALOT of utility in a compact size. I've owned The Swisstools (RS and Spirit), Sogs (Paratool and pocket plier), and other LMs, and have since rid myself of them all. Some are bigger, tougher, more rust resistant, blah blah blah, but none stack up to the Wave for all around utility. It is the total package of tools. The Wave rules.

My fav is the Charge TTi. I love the one hand blade opening, without opening up the tool. It's great if I'm holding something up in my left hand and need the knife.

The SOG Powerlock S61.

Very good pliers, good array of tools, hex bolt construction, resists rust much better than the Leatherman (though not as well as the SwissTool), and the leather sheath it came with is actually good, unlike recent Leatherman sheaths.

My favorite is the Leatherman PST, despite it's shortcomings- of course, I have others to use now as well.

The Victorinox SwissTool X is my favorite tool, but I carry a Victorinox Spirit which is my 2nd favorite because it weighs less.

Spirit!

I just got one, after about fifteen years with a hand-pinching Gerber model.

Frankly, the Gerber was usually quite satisfactory. I just decided that I wanted a new toy and after researching it, the Vic seemed like the best one for me.

It is superior. The tool selection is nearly ideal. The corrosion resistance is exemplary. The pliers don't pinch my hand and, though I'm not much for neutrality, the corporate politics haven't turned me off.

Go V'nox!

In re "corporate politics": huh? May I know what this refers to?

I was referring to the Leatherman stuff. It's been done to death, internet-wise, so if you're interested there's plenty to read.

The short version is, he's entitled to his positions and to spend his money any way he sees fit.

And so are the rest of us.
