What's with Gerber?

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it, but Gerber has a new folder called the Ridge Skeleton, made in Taiwan of AUS-6 steel, coated in black teflon. The knife is basically an imitation of the CRKT KISS folder. While it is not exactly the same shape, it works on the same principal as the KISS. I remember seeing knife ads under a brand name (Survivor) and it was called the "CUTE" folder, except that now it's got the Gerber name. I know that gerber is having their "International" line made in Taiwan, but what gives? I suppose it's like Delta Z and Kellam importing knives made by Fox Cutlery, but Gerber surprised me with this one. By the way, the new folder is available at your local Wal-Mart.
