I got this at local shop ,great price wrong box [who cares]

The big question is why is this finished so nice ? The back spacers are polished , axis lock seems polished, even the pocket clip is polished .:D
I love the look .
How come I can't find any other Benchmades finished like this?

I have one, and It does not open as smoothly and easily as my 940 and 943, but other than that I love it. So there is room for improvement.

I was more impressed with the polished features ..have not seen on any other BM'S

You may have gotten a less-than-perfect one that slipped by QC then. I know my Kulgera opens just as smoothly as my 940 and 943 that are almost 10 years old. Kulgera is definitely a nice looking knife. I love the blue-black G10 scales and the black polished hardware. Definitely a top shelf Benchmade at a reasonable price.

I have one and I think it's a great knife. The only problem with mine is the blade is off center which really bugs me, but it's just as smooth as all of my other axis knives.

I too found the 930 very refined and attractive. And very uncomfortable to hold and use. So I sold it and went back to carrying my 940.

I would expect that Benchmade 480-1 Shoki Carbon Fiber Handle would be of the same class...

And you can also take a look at 10700 Nagara - very nice, particularly for its price. Was surprised though to find it was discontinued by Benchmade!

I receveid my Kulgera a few days ago... The fit anf finish are awsome ! The clip and spacers look like "gun blued"... And the black/blue G10s are gorgeous !
The action, like other axis is firm and smooth...

This knife found a place in my pocket for a good time...

The one I have the blade slightly touches the side and it is the dullest knife I have purchased new or used (I bought it new from Knifeworks). However, the scales are gorgeous and otherwise it is the nicest benchmade I own in terms of "polish." My more expensive m4 ritter grips didn't have near as good qc.

Mine was sharp enough out of the box to shave hair, but was done with a rather coarse finish like a lot of factory edges. Looks like the micro bevel was buffed a bit but the edge was still toothy. Good for most folks, but I like to reprofile my edges right out of the box in most cases, so the factory edge never really concerns me.

Mine came fairly sharp out of the box. I think it shaved arm hair, but I still resharpened it.

The polish on a lot of the parts wears off pretty quickly. The clip, and the stop-pin are bare steel on mine now.

Still one of my favorites though. The blade has a terrific satin finish, and the AXIS lock is smooth as silk. I think it feels kind of "flimsy" in a way when cutting through really thick, dense material like foam rubber or stacks of cardboard, but it holds up okay.

It's really a handsome knife, but I don't baby mine around and I really like how tough of a knife it is while avoiding that whole tactical look.
