I really need it today and it ain't working for me. Anyone else having trouble?

Here's what I'm looking to find out and I know the answer is out there, but I just can't access it.

Where do you get the hollow tube fasteners for Busse handles? What material are they? What size are they (for mags and standard)? Also has anyone ever seen Torx Chicago screws or something like that I could use for removable handle scales? Thanks hogs.

Some are brass, would be the easiest to get a hold of

some are a nickle alloy according to Jerry, we were sure they were aluminum till Jerry chimed in a burst all our bubbles! :p

Someone said OD 1/4" was just right.

I use chicago screws where I can for the interchangable scales on my pattern blades. But, Some of the Fusion Mags are just a little too big, I need to find some longer Chicago Screws in Brass. I found some aluminum at Lowes, but that sounds like trouble in the making to me. If anyone has found some longer than 1/2" please let me know.

On my FFBM, 1/4" OD tubing is a perfect fit. Take care with the wall thickness. For example .014" Aluminum is too thin. I used trial and error to get a length that worked well for me. I don't have my notes in front of me, but I think I used sections .775" long.

Mike, Leatherman's got the size right. It's 1/4 inch OD. You can get it from a few different knife supply companies. It's labeled as "throng hole tubing" I have some in brass and in stainless. Just look up Wicked's thread, or Grinducci's thread about fastening new handle slabs on. Both are full of great info.

Thanks guys. I found both ducci's and wicked's threads. Doesn't look too hard. I think I'll give it a shot. Much appreciated.
