Okay, here's the deal. I own several high-end custom knives, Randall knives, Spydercos, and Victorinox SAKs, but I keep going back to and playing with my $19.95 Buck 110. I can't put the dang thing down.

What the hell's going on?

many of us get relife for a while with a new buck and it is not so bad as then
we can worry of other things like work and wifes....

yerp sir ree!
we are still trying to find out how it is spread...
some of us have consitered that it is in the steel that buck uses or maby it is in the heet treet ment by bos
or jest some ingreatent in the oil they use on the blades..
mistry to us all ... all we lknow it it get sever symptions...
personaly i had a bad case of it
check my sig for the bucket ... ionly have about 110 110's
the symptions have subsided fopr a whjile of late ...

Thanks for your words of encouragement, Dave. My whole point to this thread was to say that one doesn't need to spend hundreds of dollars to find a great knife.

Respectfully yours,

Mr. Pillock ;)

so so true!
i bought my first buck knife when it was min wage of .92 cents
and i spent 11$ for it
now min wage is 7$ and you spend 29 $ at wally.
so a folding hunter is a bargon now cmp0ared the then
and a 1 st year that cost 10$ is now worth
over 600 in mint in box...
a bank cd never did so well nor the stock market...
unless you count some company call micro something

Maybe my Buck Fever could be cured with a pill. I doubt it. I just love to play with its lock. :D

Tom,
I now what you mean about the lock on the 110. That resounding "snap", when it locks open can be mesmerizing! :)

Hi Joe,

You're right. The 110 lock sound is mesmerizing. It's along the same line as the sound a Colt SAA revolver makes when you pull back the hammer. :)

Nice comparison! :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Where the Colt sounds the 4 clicks to spell C-O-L-T I imagine the single snap of a 110 stands for the short, declarative statement, "BUCK!"

I apoligise Tah I posted back to the wrong thread, no offense meant, I have only just noticed it going back over my posts tonight.
Glad you took it with a sense of humour.
As for you Dave, it was a mistake I made. Wishing Cancer in any form as a throw away line is not that clever to me.
Anyway, my mistake enjoy yourselves.
PS did you work out what a "Pillock" was :)

No problem, Danno. Thanks for the follow up. Apology accepted.

I had to look up the word, "pillock". That was a new one on me. :D

Best,
Tom
