I can't get the search to work.

I know that we have mentioned the Nepali hatchet called the bancharo or banchero in Nepal but the search can't come up with anything.

Also did a search for HIKK with no results.

Can anybody help and enlighten?

:
The WebTV has a "find" button that lets one find a given word on a page.
I went back a whole year and went through each and every page, 50 of them IIRC, and the HIKK only showed up on one post and that's where one of the guys received his HIKK.
The words kenpo and kenpo khukuri never showed up at all.
I suspect that the original post didn't have those words in the title or I would have found them.
I went through the 50 pages 3 times with all 3 variations of the words.
SO that leads me to believe the problem may not be in the search function, but in the words we're actually searching for.
Sometimes the final name for a new product isn't firmed up for a while.
And that may be our problem.
I don't know what else t search for, but if I have time tomorrow I would go back through the lists if someone has a good suggestion.

Sorry Bro, I really tried to help you out as I know you don't have the time to do such things and I was just setting here with nothing else to do.

Tomorrow I hope to be online with the new computer.
I can hardly wait!!!!
That thing has more bells and whistles on it than I may ever be able to figure out.":)
And I'm really glad I had what little experience I had on Cindy's computer or I would have been totally intimidated.
I have a feeling I know kinda how you felt when you got your 1st one and started the H.I.Website.:D
I don't know if I could have done it without some experience and I do have to thank WebTV for that.
It has done well by me except for the time I couldn't make a new post here and Im' still Not Convinced it was my WebTV that was doing it!!!!:)

Post bug reports in the "BladeForums.com Service and Support" forum, in the General category. Spark gets so much email things get buried, but he checks that forum very frequently.

The vBulletin internal search function seems to be more reliable than the old UBB software we used to use ... a little bit more reliable, anyway ... but it's still limited even when it works. The same applies to other websites with internal search functions; they're all limited and most of them seem to be pretty unreliable. The better way is to use your favorite web search engine (I like webferret but there are plenty of others) and add "bladeforums" to your search terms. Just about any web search engine offers more options than internal website search functions and they all seem to work more reliably; even without using any extra features they often find hits internal search functions miss.

Yvsa, using your browser's find function to search each page of the thread list, as well as being laborious, only searches the thread titles ... if the word you're searching for is in the thread but not in the title that method won't find it even after all your work. There are usually about three or four different ways to do anything with a computer ... if you think of a way to do what you want but it'd be a lot of work, there's usually at least one better way to do the same thing....

Many thanks for good help, all, and much appreciated.

Bro, I don't think it's the words we are using. I know we have mentioned bancharo or banchero several times and the only thread the search came up with was my latest post. But, I'll play with it later.

Thanks again, all. As most know I can use all the help I can get.
