Just wondering. I use a stripped active duty with black paper micarta handles, for every day chores, like opening other Busse packages. I also have an assault shaker that gets hard use when I need something a little thicker. The biggest user I have is a Paul's hatchet. I was just wondering what you guys use, since I'm thinking about upsizing a little to scrapyard 4 or maybe a BAtac. Can't decide. The active duty is great, but not quite big enough for all of the chores I need it to do easily. Not that I chop wood with it, because I don't but something a inch longer seems like it would be ideal.

You really don't want me to USE a Busse do you?????????????

If you are thinking of going slightly larger than the AD how about a BA3.
Can't ever go wrong choosing a Badger. :D

Well, an AD with snakeskin is my user, but in the event I need something just a tad bigger, I usually go off-Busse :foot: and reach for a BRKT North Star. :D

I have a stripped HD and a user BBSHSH for around the house. For a folder, it is a ZT300 I pimped out with a black scale and beadblasted the blade and titanium lock side.

My wife stole my BAIII for chores and I often find it in the drawer with other cutlery! But it is usually either that or a SJ (not Tac) for larger task.

This one... :D

well, as much as I *can*, anyway... plus, I never get tired of looking at her... oh, The Precious...

My AD (original CS SS/S) gets kitchen use and all the Busse packages.

Coated ZTSH for yard work and walks in the woods.

B9 for chopping.

PK for Fogo, Boi, heck - any red meat. :D

Tan SK for mail.

NIP for ales, porters, bocks.....you get the idea.

You aren't supposed to use them??? Now you tell me! My Mean Street gets a lot of use and has the black coating chipped off in places to show it's gratitude. It is some knife. Have no can opener?? Not to worry....use the Mean Street. It only seems to make the knife sharper.

My HD gets most of the love around the house and trail, It would be my LrS but Co has a 3.5" blade law and it's enforced in several municipalities around here, don't want to risk loosing it, I carry it when I can get away with it.

A FBM for the yard, it replaced an AS bolo for that task, and a SJ for intermediate stuff.

An AS for boxes an stuff at work, management's not real keen on belt knives so the HD rides in the bag.

and an AK just for fun !!!!!!!!!!!

A Skeleton Key on my desk.

A NICK in the Kitchen.

A Basic#3 on Chest of Drawers.

And an AK beside both the bed and the desk.

AK-47....I would EDC it if it didn't make me pitch a tent. Or get arrested. Or both.

I use 'em all, but around the house I mostly use the Pepper Shaker. It's the best cutter in the Busse line up, but still capable of handling rough use, when necessary. Small, light, and unobtrusive, too.

My GW gets a lot of use at home and at work. It's in my pocket everyday and doesn't seem to scare people if I am using it while working in their home. I even used it to baton through some cedar kindling, while showing my 2 and 4 year olds how to start a wet fire a couple days ago.
