Just set up a 4" blade/9" overall knife for neck carry with a kydex sheath. Seems to be pretty good. Do most prefer the smaller ones or do some carry medium sized knives this way? Oh, and Merry Christmas.

...That would be my Ontario/Bagwell Hell's Belle. (The 11 inch-long blade IS a bitch to hide under my t-shirt, 'tho, and sitting-down CAN BE "dangerous".:D.).

My biggest pain in the neck isn't a knife LMAO, but i do have a custom one from Texas with a 4" blade 3/16" stock with green bone handles and a rattle snake covered kydex sheath that is a pain in the neck, just not my biggest pain in the neck. :p hehe

Cheers!

Ask VG. I think he have a Hossom as a neck knife... oh wait, that might be on the ear.

The Camillus Talon for everyday utility. Not the biggest, just the biggest I have personal experience with. The sheath is terrible but, the knife worked great.

I try to find the smallest neck knives I can that will still do useful work. Even the Camillus Arclite seemed a touch too long to me. My favorite is the Spyderco S.P.O.T. with the Emerson La Griffe as a close runner-up. Both are very thin and very short.

It's not the longest, but it *has* to be the thickest neck knife that I've ever used: Busse Assault Shaker...that is one solid hunk of steel!

I wouldn't carry anything over about 3 1/2" for a necker personally.., but I do sometimes carry a BM 42 Balisong in a Kydex neck sheath. Ti-handels make it light enough (barely). Blade length is 4 1/4".
