Did that get anyone's attention? :D BS = blood sugar.

I have been diabetic (Type II) for about 10 years. When I was first diagnosed, I checked blood glucose every day. It was rarely over 115. Recently, it has gone up. My average for the last 90 days is 150. I take one metformin a day.

I know that there are some other members that have type II diabetes. I am curious as to your what your BS is and what you are doing about it.

Type 1 here. Just checked it was 142. Mot likely due to the coffee I just had. My A1C is 6.6

Thanks.

What? Only one other diabetic here?

Not likely. ;)

I've been Type 1 since 1982. Worked hard to keep BS levels under control. Started using insulin pump in late 90's. Check BS 5-6 times daily and bolus as required. A1C less than 6.0 last 6-8 years. Pump makes this a lot easier!

Good luck in your efforts . . .

Mine runs around 128 most of the time....I am type 2 .....My DR just told me that i need to get more normal ? he says i need to be around 100 or lower....lol....

Mine is in great need of being taken under control. I have had it for about ten, eleven years. I was doing very well with gymnema, metformin and glyburide. Diet is getting a little better, but the ol' stress level has gone way up.

I'll play! I'm Type 2 for about 2 years now. A1C is 6.2. Avg BS is 135. I take Lantus (20 units) insulin at 7AM. Use NovoLog insulin 4x day when I check my BS before meals and bed. Metformin 1000 mg 2x per day and Actos 30 mg 1x per day. I am morbidly obese due to other health issues and their meds. Sometimes I think it would be better if I just kicked the bucket but I have too much shyt to buy first! :D
