I had an idea for this topic, and then I noticed http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=599294. I'm not sure that they collide in thought train though, so I'll continue.

What's your buy list for knives? I currently have a small file with numerous names of "wanted" knives on it. I'll pick one at random and save up till I can get it. Then cross it off the list and enjoy it. It's fun, and I like being able to keep track of what I want, rather then running out and buying. If I see something I like, it'd go on the list.

Mine is (condensed):

Police 3 G-10
Salt 1

Benchmade Grip

So my question to you all (y'all all for short ;) ) is what's on your buy list?
 
My 'list' is pretty short, I usually buy used knives when I like what I see.

More Moras (cant never have enough moras)
A 5" USMC Ka-bar
maybe a nice used M3
any other nice knife in used condition that appeals to me.

And maybe a custom or too that strikes my fancy, I have enough folders that I made a promise to myself that I wouldn't buy one for a while though . Just took Wenger Evo-grip off my mental to get list last week:D

I pretty much have just about everything I could want. Might be interested in one of the new BK9's, or perhaps 2 or 3 more Case Peanuts. Other than that, I'm probably going to be laying low for a while, just because I'm not really jonesing for anything. If I saw a Keith Johnson (or other custom) Sodbuster, I might go for that too. Would like a Strider AR, but I'm not willing to pay for it. :)

Well, I have been buying mostly knives of >$20, so my next few are going to be:

Some sort of Mora, or 5
and an Opinel..

Once I find a place to buy both together...
 
A GEC pocketknife of some sort
A Merxworx folder of some sort
A Microtech OTF of some sort
More INFI
Crowell/Barker Competition knife
SAK of some sort
XM-18 on pre-order
 
- whatever catches my eye
- whatever is on sale
- more black-handle Buck knives - General, Pathfinder, Woodsman, and vintage discontinued models
- knives Scandinavian companies not already represented in my accumulation; EKA, Lapin Puukko, Marttiini, etc.
- knives from two new American companies - Amherst and Great Eastern

Ragweed Forge has an excellent selection of Mora knives, and they carry Opinel too.
SMKW has the best selection and prices on Opinels, and a few Mora knives also.

Right now my list has three folders and a couple of fixed blades. The folders include a Kershaw Tyrade, already have the STR fold over clip for it. The 2nd folder is a Pat Crawford Kasper, the Bob Kasper commemrative model, and the 3rd is a S&M or Queen Gunstock slipjoint. I don't have any fixed blades, but am interested in the new Kabar Beckers. Currently thinking about the BK7. Also thinking about a Boker Plus Valkryie, for some reason the design has really, really caught my eye, even if it does sound a little mall ninjaish! Guess I should mention that the Tyrade has already been ordered and should arrive this Wednesday, and the Kasper will be shipping out on December 19th, in time to be a Christmas present from myself to me. You know, it is better to give........................!
 
I don't have a buy list anymore; I typically buy very few knives anymore since I'm having trouble finding knives that I like.

I did recently buy a purple handled Blade-Tech Mouse II for the underseat storage area on my motorcycle.

I have heard rumors of a G-10 handled Spyderco Dragonfly and perhaps a sprint run of the old Meercat.

If true than they are on my "to buy" list.

I instead have a bookmark folder with all of the knives I've seen that look interesting to me. There's about 90 on there.
 
I would like a Severtech but besides something that just really catches my eye I have everything i could have need...................of course that typically makes little difference.
