whats your dream khukuri

Mate, here we're spoilt for choice :D....And when a DOTD coincides with me having money in my bank account, there's always a new dream kukri for me !!
I'm not being flippant, just honest.

I would like to try to get the SUPER CAK/BONECUTTER made by SGT. KHADKA in a few modifications if possible

I would like the belly of the blade close to 3+ inches wide
I would like the spine width about 7/16”+ thick
I would like the length close to 21”, I would like blade length close to 15”
I would like Chiruwa style handle
I would like a darker Satisal wood handle
I would like the full Chiruwa warranty if possible. This is to be a heavy user/chopper.

I would like to get close to this one.

I would like a more pointy tip instead of rounded. like this
pointy 2.jpg

I would like to have the BONECUTTER high bevel edge

I would like to try and get dui or tin chirra if allows for chopping warranty

i know what you mean there. i feel the same on lots of HI stuff

on the dui/tin chirra i love the contrasting shades of the light reflecting like this, can this be warranted for chopping?

Bladeright,

You read my minds...and many others too. Let's hope Santa hears us!

I'd like to see an M43 in dhar wood or black or dark grey horn with defined grains with a lanyard loophole outlined with white brass, a not too fancy white brass finger guard and where the upper unsharpened portion of the blade is forge blackened or heavily blued evenly to the guard. If a couple of inches at the top of the tip could also be sharpened similar to a bowie knife without weakening the blade's sweet spot is possible, that would also be nice. 28oz and under, 18 inches with a custom sheath similar in design to the fund sheath but form fitting to the blade. A slightly thicker pommel cap with the symbol of the kami carved in much better detail that normally on the blade. Yup. Just imagined that one.

Well, I pondered and dreamed, and HI is making something for me right now. It may not end up being my favorite, but it will have some abilities and potentials not found in most khukuris. It will qualify as a dream khukuri because it is the product of a fevered imagination.

Stay tuned.

Howard,

I've been secretly thinking of the Rajkumar Shiva knife that you scored. Good stuff mate!

Right now it would be a antler or wood handled kerambit. Not because i am in love with the kerambit design in general but because HI has turned it into a very useful edc kuk with what looks like perfect balance between utility and defensive capabilities. I keep trying to snag one on dotd and after the first of the year im going to beg auntie to get me one. What would make it better would be for it to be made by Bura Kami. I know thats not possible but thats my dream kuk right now, a small kuk that would be perfect for edc. The Pen knife is close but still a little large for what i want......after i get one i will shurly have a new dream khurki.........

Just so's you know, Badasp.
There are a couple variations of the Kerambit now.
The original dan koster design and my re-design called the C-bit.
The original is straighter and seems more utlitarian, my C-bit design is more curved with larger ring and is more weapon.
I did about a dozen redesigns in a thread i posted quite awhile ago. C- bit and the A design were the only to be made though.

Something like one of these. 17.5" and around 24-25 ounces. I think Bill might agree;)

A 18-20 inch BAS. And of course an Ang Khola Bowie, of course I haven't seen many of those around lately. Actually not for a long time now. Always have liked the bowie, ever since I first saw it. That's the country boy in me I guess.

the ak bowie is a wonderful looking knife, in fact auntie just told me she should be getting a shipment in before xmas.

1 of those will be mine. oh yeah

The C-bit that you designed is the one that i want Karda. Ive been really impressed with the pictures i have seen....i think it would suit me perfect! like the one from the photo thread shown below....At least I think its a C-bit??
