Whats your edc?

There is already a thread like this, but I'll bite.

Recently since I'm away from my collection, it's been a Spyderco Techno or a Strider SMF.

Today, I am pocketing a ZDP-189 Endura, with British racing green FRN. :D

I see you're a newbie like me, us new guys need to stick together.

I'm very sorry to hear that. I just got my Endura this month. Did you contact Spyderco? They might help you make it right. I have always heard good things about Spyderco's warranty and customer service. It might be worth a call or Email.

Right now I am packing a military that I picked up a month ago. I wasn't sure about the tip down carry but the transition with this thing hasn't been a issue.

Awesome knife, edc'ed one till I misplaced it. Somehow ended up in a shoe which I don't hardly wear, thought it was gone forever for about 4-5 months, bought a new one and everything. Then a ZT 0566, now an Emerson Patriot.

Most of the knives that I EDC are in this photo, and all of them get carried at one time or another.

That sucks! I also carry a ZT 0566. I really like that knife as well.

It depends on if I'm going to be at the office, out running errands or doing various outdoors stuff. I've bought a lot of knives with EDC in mind, some of them more expensive than others, but the ones getting the most pocket time are inexpensive imports. For work, I like the Kershaw One Ton and Vapor III, which both have sufficiently large blades while still having thin profiles allowing them to comfortably share close quarters with a cell phone while sitting. Away from the office, the SOG Salute and 5.11 Tarani Investigator usually get the nod, or maybe my personal favorite - a Kershaw RJI - if defensive use (backup to a handgun) is a consideration. When doing yard work or out in the woods, I carry a Coast FX350; it seems like an unlikely choice for a "knife guy" but really shines with a flat grind 9Cr17Mov blade and glove-friendly Zytel scale.

Sometimes, I'll carry something a bit nicer, especially now that I got my hands on a Kershaw Camber, but that's generally due to a conscious decision to choose a more "exciting" knife than because I need better steel.

Lately it's been a SAK, usually a Farmer or Pioneer, and an M390 Ritter Grip. I've been mixing in a Spyderco GB also but I think it's going on the chopping block as I seem to prefer the Ritter. The GB is s little better cutter and I can get a better edge on it but I don't care for the blade profile and I prefer the Axis lock.
