What's your experience with M390MK?

Microtech announced their exclusive formula of M390 at SHOT Show this year, and they've been slowly introducing knives with the steel throughout the year. I haven't seen many details on what makes it different than regular M390, other than a video of Tony on Instargram saying that it was easier to machine and polish. Does anyone have any more details?

Also, what are your personal experiences with M390MK? I've had an MSI since June, and my impression is that it's really good, but not great. I feel like it dulls a lot more easily than regular M390, but it also is far easier to sharpen on my sharpmaker. Ever since touching it up on my sharpmaker, it has been relatively easy to maintain with a strop, which is pretty nice. Otherwise corrosion resistance is as expected, no issues in the Florida heat and humidity.

Does nobody else really have experience with or opinions on M390MK? That's pretty surprising to me.

Knowing the names Microtech uses for its knives, I think the MK stands for "Massive Kraken."

Alphanumeric steels: I've heard that the more letters and numbers in the name of a steel, the better it is. Under this concept, MagnaCut needs to be followed by 911, etc. to really make it great. Larrin Larrin

Mine took slight edge damage when I disassembled my stitch and it barely touched the ram lock with the slightest imaginable force. Based on that and how easy it was to sharpen, I'm guessing it's sub-60 HRC. Not really impressed with it, but I didn't buy it as a practical cutting tool (as stupid as that feels to write).
