We are planning already for this summers camping/hiking/canoing trips. To top it all off got my final installment of camp tools in today.
So for this years season in the bush we'll have
Dad (me) - Custom Livesay HKR - big and bad - but heck it's half the fun:) and I'll have my Cooper folder, a super strong liner lock that has also become my work edc ( currently out for a facelift). Last years trips saw me with an Allen Blade CPB and it performed ok. I think the Livesay will perform much better just my first impression ( no more hachact)
Better half - can't get her Falkeniven WM1 away from her. Plus she has always had a SAK of one sort or another since I met her.
Oldest son - Leaves for Basic training won't be with us this year:(
However I have a Siegle Green Utility as a Grad. gift for him.
Next lad - Just received a Siegle camp knife - 7 1/2 spear point blade typical Siegle 5160 G10,Kydex, can chop, cut and dice. Was wearing it around all night ( actually everyone) wore thier new knives tonight :D
Next lad - Seigle 6 1/2 blade slim bowie. Be a good one for cutting up stuff.
All of them have as folders Scharde cliffhangers
Daughter - Livesay G45 which she uses as a pencil sharpener at home( can't bring a knife to school) and a nice litte Bill Siegle 4 1/4" drop point. Small and light and great for what ever an 11 yr old girl who is totally into nature will want to cut, from plants to frog. From dinner to a tent stake.
Each year we do a major outing of at least 5-7 days last year along Lake Superior. Trails are not always maintained and we bushwack part of the way. Deadwood is gathered and burned and used to created mini shelters along with our tents. These knives look like they'll hold up.
Like I told the young ones, they'll be able to hand down their hand made knives to thier kids and the stories that go with them.
Oh yeah and for EDC got my Chuck Gedraitus green Mammoth Folder !
edited for ususal spelling ( that I noticed :D )

Unfortunately, I'm the only one in my family with an affinity for knives. Nobody else sees the need to carry one all the time, that is until they need me to cut something for them.

I carry what ever strikes me at the moment, currently an LCC D/A, My wife is carrying a Purple UDT she wanted forever that a fellow forumite helped me out with.:)

My dad (who got me into knives, but I became more of a nut then him!) always carries a key chain swiss army knife. He'll usually carry a Fixed Hunting knife when camping. A one hander or a multi-tool when fishing.

I usually carry a Buck NXT1 or a Kershaw Scallion (Before it was stolen) and when it comes in my BM350SBT will be in the everyday cicrulation (these are the most common ones) It ALWAYS VARIES. Sometimes a nice sak or slipjoint when I need it to be VERY legitimate. I usually carry a Buck Hunter when I'm camping. A Multi-tool is in my tackle box along with a small spyderco ladybug and a fillet knife (when I'm fishing).

EDC's aren't over 130 dollars US in my mind. (Alot of the time there under 100 dollars US)

Infact it's only been the last year when I really started collecting, right now its on and off.

My dad carries a Victorinox Classic on his keychain. My mom doesn't carry anything, but my sister got a Leatherman Micra for Christmas so she's carrying that around now. My dad's cool with my hobby, but my mom wonders why I need to carry a "big" knife around all the time... and then thanks me whenever I cut something that she needs cut.:D

My GF carries a spyderco ladybug with her key chain..
i carries a spyderco mini police necklace kinfe & benmade 31(bali-song):)

My GF carries a Dyad Jr. and a Mini-Gritilian. When she's at home she likes to play with and practice "flicking out" my M18.

My wife doesn't really carry a knife though I have tried to get her to at least put one in her pocketbook. Last spring we were doing some remodeling and she took a great liking to a Camillus EDC I had and she actually keeps it in her little toolbox. My son has several knives that he likes to carry at different times. These include his current carry, a Kershaw Rainbow Leek, a MOD Trident manual, a MT Socom clip point manual, a BM, and sometimes a Remington 3 bladed stockman.

Me, it's a JW Smith LDC-5, recently modified!
