What's your favorite Combo?

I was out shooting some pictures of the Busses today and one of the shots was grouped according to finish. I realized that, with the exception of some outlying exemplars (e.g., the OD), I have apparently consolidated my collection into three main categories:

Satin/Snakeskin
Satin/Black Paper
Satin/Desert Tan

I think, if pressed, that I would have to choose the black paper as my favorite for use. It simply feels the best in my hands.
From an appearance standpoint, the Snakeskin wins hands down.

You have a great looking collection going there.

And that satin really looks good. If I were picking a "pretty" nice I'd have to go with Satin with black paper handles. If I were picking a user I'd pick double cut with black canvas handles.

what model is that second from the bottom in the 1st row? Great collection by the way, I hope to get one that big someday

It was my first big Busse. Love it.

i think i would go with black canvas on satin... mainly because they are both easy to refinish with sand paper when they get messed up
 
I have been trying to figure out what my favorite combo is for when the FBM/HOFBM comes out. It will definitely have either a Satin or DCBB finish. Probably DCBB. As for the handles, either the Snakeskin or Tigerstripe or Tan.

Man I'm glad I've got it narrowed down so far. :D
 
I haven't received it yet... double cut with black canvas. I'm hoping the Meaner Street that I have coming with that combo is everything I hoping it'll be. It I ever do buy a "safe queen" I'd have to say Satin with the snake skin but I also like the black on black that is black crinkle with black paper.

After seeing Ian new HOFSH with snake skin, I'm really wanting a big user with that handle color. The bigger knives really bring out the detailed beauty of the snake skin.

I'm partial to DC/green. Reminds me of the old A2 era. Snakeskin is nice, and I may pick up a snakeskin AD in the next production run, if it doesn't run out. Tan canvas is nice for users.
 
My favorite Busse finish is a finished Busse........ :thumbup:

Of course at the shows he attends, Jerry helps provide a days finish with a drink, a smoke, and a joke (or 3). Could only get better with dancin wimminz.... :cool:

Active Duty? Next run? You know something don't you? Spill the beans man... come on now, whatcha know?

Really like the Active Duty, a lot? Snake skin, black canvas, satin finish, black crinkle, double cut.... don't care just let me get one!

BTW, any one know the spec differences between the Active Duty and the Off Duty?
