I saw the harness jack from queen, at vintageknives.com, and I am in love with the jig pattern on the scales. Does anybody have any that are just irresistible to you? I am also partial to the new barnboard jig my case.

Im a fan of the old winterbottom jigging! Especially the old queens that bore their handles!!

I recently picked up one of those new-old-stock Marbles Gladstone (MSA) knives from 2001, spcifically the teardrop jack pattern. It's got bone sclaes with a unique jigging pattern; I've seen it referred to elsewhere as "herringdone" or "turkey track" jigging, and I'm really digging it!

Here's one like it, borrowed off fleaBay:

Wonder if I might ask a favor of some of the traditional makers in this forum. I would love to see a WIP video of you jigging your bone handles (or at least some still pictures). Always been fascinated by the process and with some of the bone that is showing up in the forum, I think it would be a treat to see how it is done.

One of my favorite jigging patterns;

This is not the oldest Schrade jigging, but it resembles the bone that probably came from a joint handle-producing facility that Schrade ran with Walden Knife, and NYK. Notice the resemblance to those other brands?
Schrade eventually bought all the shares ca. WWI. I don't know when this was produced. Before or after Schrade bought it out?? Anyone know??

I like "carved stag bone jigging" like Queen is using and my Mutz canoe uses a similar jigging. But, really, when you get down to it, I like most jigging patterns. Case's new "antique bone" jigging reminds me some of the Queen winterbottom pattern. But, that stag jigging is my favorite.

I'm not really qualified to answer this question as my experience with jigged bone knives is pretty limited. With that said, my favorite jig pattern out of the bone handled knives that I own is Queen's goldenroot bone. It's beautiful.

I don't know if this qualifies as jigged bone or carved bone but it's an interesting pattern none-the-less. GEC Arrowhead Bone.

It is hard for me to divorce the color from the jigging, but this old Schrade Cutco bone is really peachy.
