I just ordered a blem 1725SG2 Titanium Framelock Junkyard Dog from one of our dealers in the for sale sub forum.

I'm going to check if STR is still doing the lowrider clips for them and that left me wondering if any of you have other mods that you could recommend.

This will be my first 'flicker' knife so any carry/use tips are also welcomed.

My EDC is an Endura 4 Wave, so I hope this deployment method is not that much slower.

...Or maybe you can just show off your user/EDC/battle scarred JYD!

I only have 1. The same ti model youre going to get. It may take a while

before you can flip it fast and easily...it did for me. The more you flip it the

better it flips.

Not sure if the Ti framed JYDs have a plastic backspacer but if so I'd get rid of it. I put some machined stainless standoffs on my small JYD and it made it look so much better. They match the machining on the handles really well.

The flipper on the JYD is a little different than others but works great. It take some practice but when you get used to it it's fast and reliable. It won't be as fast as a wave but then again nothing is.

I saw the thread too and the Composite blade is $45. I was looking as my first knife for a say Spyderco Delica or Tenacious and some guys said try the Kershaws, like a Leek. Was thinking of a $30 limit, but $45 shipped is not that much more. So, is this a great deal? Appropriate for a first knife? Where can I see a pic?

I don't know about the titanium JYDs but the if you can find a JYD II with the composite blade for $45.00 shipped you ought to do so ASAP. It's a nice knife. Big. Solid.

Ti JYD has a G10 back spacer.

You could put a CB on a Ti frame and have a great cutter. One of my favorites!
