Frame lock first. followed by the lock back and twist lock (Opinel).

*The Boker Gemini has shown me that a paper thin liner lock can and will fail if accidentally struck on the spine.

I voted for axis cause I think it's the best lock, but I like REKATs rolling lock designs more, I think. And most of my favorite designs have lockbacks.

Rolling lock and BladeLock. Dammit, I knew I forgot some, but couldn't think of them all.

I can't take credit for the idea for this poll, though; it came up in another thread, and someone without access to the polling feature asked if someone would post a poll regarding lock styles.

I have to admit I'm a little surprised nobody clicked the Plunge Lock, however, as that's the mechanism on the Masters of Defense Duane Deiter (did I spell his name right?) CQB folder.

Axis
Arc
Rolling
Frame
etc.

You also left fixed-blade off the list (probably a good idea).
And the last two categories (other, and you forgot...) seem to overlap, no?

I feel most secure with my liner lock on my CRKT Point Gaurd because of the LAWKS secondary "lock." I can't imagine how the liner lock could fail with LAWKS in place.
