I thought the M4 Millie was a half RIL and half CF, not compression.

I'm getting really confused by all this. I thought the new Military coming out was an all titanium handle with RIL and S30V blade. What's all this about half-titanium/half-carbon fiber handle with M4 blade? Fantasy?

The RIL Millie will have a S30V blade, but isn't due out this year. On the list (10-12 months iirc from what I've heard from dealers) is a M4 millie with a titanium half (RIL) and a carbon fiber half.

On the 30th of last month I called knife works to ask if they had the Manix 2 in stock. We spent some time talking about pre-ordering the Ti-Military. He told me that he was lining up a run of Ti/CF Military’s in M4, to be out 10-12 months from now.

I'll always like the BG42 vdersion. The S90 piece is second.

A well built M4 version would likely be the best for my uses and likes.
