It's hard to choose just one, but for looks, I go with a slim stockman 89x pattern.

I have so many 165s that it's difficult to choose, but these are my favorites.
This one because it is so early and I picked it up for a song. It had green gunk on the brass. All it needed was MINOR cleaning, and voila! It was a dog in the pictures. I lucked up on this one. Oh, P.S. - factory edge.

And this one took some thought. It is not the prettiest, nor the earliest, nor the rarest. It is a run-of-the-mill 165 that has had the tang stamp ground off. Why is it here? Because it resides in the kitchen drawer and is the best kitchen knife we have, bar NONE! It is my "go to" knife when I need something that actually holds an edge (unlike my Chicago Cutlery set). It sees more use than all of my other Schrades combined, and such, has earned it's place here.

Nice 165 bro do you know where I can get one?
They show up routinely on a well known, but not well liked, auction site. Love that pattern. Make absolutely sure you don't accidentally end up with a Taylor Brands version.
I pretty much like them all-but the one knife I really like is the old 15OT-it' got class!
My absolute favorite, I carry it everyday.

My favorite Schrade? Hmmm... I'll have to think on that.
This 15OT is a Sears SFO, a Ted Williams #10600

This 15OT belongs to Eric. It is one of the earliest, circa 1964, IIRC.

Late in production, Schrade began getting some blades laser cut. This one of mine has a "CI" cutout and was done for Ducks Unlimited of Canada. They were also cut for NRA and DU of America as well as RMEF. This one is shown with a custom doeskin lined hornback alligator inlay sheath by Paul Long.

To "fancy them up", these knives were given the UH Staglon type handles and the spines were milled (fileback).

I still haven't picked a favorite. How about associated brands? You know that Camillus, Kingston, Imperial and quite a few others fit right in, right?
Well, here is a nice one in Mother Of Pearl, an exhibition knife made by Adolph Kastor & Bros, at their factory in Ohligs - Solingen Germany around the pre-WWI era...

This one is really tiny and not so fancy, but it is pretty neat

Beta, what's the tang stamp on that one? Looks like MOP handles perhaps?
