I've gone a bit nuts this past week and scored a few. That's what happens when you don't buy any for a few years, drink to much whiskey and surf the Net!

So, in the last few minutes I just scored this! Can't wait to have it in hand and out her to use. I think I will call her the dragon slayer.

Need to take some pix but this was a double happiness week, got a Battle Shark Tanker/Green Micarta, and a Grudge LE Green Canvas.

Congrats on your SOB!!!

Very cool guys. Love that ASH!
This just shipped on it's way to me today. The coating will be the first to go...thinking about etching this one too...my first try at that.

The ASH is one of my favorite models. Too bad it's too big for legal carry here in Texas. But I may have to get one someday just for when I'm in the woods.

It's been a really expensive year so far with all the dings hitting and then some I just couldn't live without...

This custom shop DSSF is the most recent one to show up [emoji41] late night eBay deal of the year kind of thing..

Also sealed the deal today on a 3B2 that I should have next week..

Picked this old school B6 on the bay recently, I think I scored nicely because the starting price was reasonable and I sniped in the only bid. Ther oldschool basics are just the sweetest blades to me, something about them.

This. I always wanted one. I was happy when I found this one.

Funny how things work.. Did that one come from AZCK? They had one about a week ago and I mulled it over a bit and ultimately decided to pass. I usually only try to buy knives that I can also use for sheath making unless it can go into EDC rotation.

The other night I posted some blades for sale and the only trades I'd take were Busse's I didn't already have. One of our members offered me the one below for a package trade and it shipped today.

Reportedly there are less than 20 of these ever made roughly 10 years ago and in a span of a few weeks 2-3 of them got new owners.

Here's an older picture of mine..

The Busse ASH-1 has always been one of my grail knives . Not long ago I came across this one and just received it earlier this week .

Yes I saw it on AZCK and I am so glad it had not sold. I bought it. It is such a light nimble Busse in the hand. Congratulations on your score. I think this is one of the iconic Busse's in my mind. Every time I saw a picture of it over the years I wanted one. It is kind of like, it stuck in my brain... It is one of those knives that is better in person.

Had to wait to score another Busse before I thought it would be okay to post, but since we're all knife nuts and Bill's work is appreciated here too, I figure it's safe to share my two latest (pictures from maker/seller as I don't have either in hand yet)...

Bill Siegle Small Kukri (LOVE the lines on this one!!!)

and an OD Game Warden off the exchange to replace my first ever Busse...

Congratulations! I'm pretty sure your knife is a Basic 7. I checked the Basic 6 eBay listing, but the blade length looks closer to 7" and your knife is definitely an older model. There was a B6 that came out in 2011, but it is satin finished and has a large choil; I much prefer the B7.

I could not agree more about how sweet the old Basics are. My first Busse was a Basic 9 in late 2001, followed with a B3, B5 & B7. I feel the Resiprene C handles on the Basics are very comfortable, due to both the shape and type of material. The handles are smaller on the B3 & B5, but I find them more than adequate for my hands. In my opinion, the B7 has both good balance and weight. You have a great knife there – I hope you enjoy it!

They are nice I had one some years back and let it go to someone around here. It's lighter than most ash types nice and lively. Congrats nice score.

Oh man, that explains my utter inability to find anything on the fabled B6, I thought it was a rarity :)
Thanks for the heads up, I now know what I have.

There was a basic 6, although it was called the Euro 6. Maybe do some searching for that terminology...
