What's your little EDC?

For most people their smallest edc from a major company will be a sak classic .
For me it's my buck 283 and my leatherman micra.
( I have others but are either not edc'd, not major brands ,or are neck knives made by me )

Hi Sharp,

I usually carry (on my person) a total of THREE knives. I ALWAYS carry a SAK (Swiss Army Knife) "Tinker" model that I've had since the 1980's. I plan to buy/replace this knife with the SAK "HIKER" due to the "Hiker" having a nice lil' Wood Saw blade which could come in handy here in the Maine woods. I HIGHLY suggest you acquire and carry a basic SAK. I also carry a SPYDERCO PM2 (Paramilitary) folder as well as a little (3" blade) Custom "Nick Rossi" fixed blade. There is no end to this Smorgasbord choice of knives.

Regards,
HARDBALL

Spyderco ladybug, coldsteel micro recon or a crkt jettison
Id reccomend any of them, most the cold steel and crkt though

Lately it's been any 1/2/12 of these: Kershaw Shuffle, Spyderco Ladybug (which I accidentally took through the courthouse security checkpoint yesterday--that could have been awkward), Cold Steel Mini Tuff Lite, Schrade 108OT, Gerber Dime.

I used to carry a spyderco copilot. My tastes have changed over the years and now I generally carry larger blades. My ZT 0808 is now a small edc for me and one of my favorites.

My EDC usually consists of a large folder and a small knife, usually a SAK of some type. Lately, it has been an ALOX Pioneer that I was generously gifted by an awesome fellow forum member, it's been with me every day since I got it and the tools on it have come in handy plenty of times.

I usually have a small traditional pocket knife of some kind but these are the modern small knives that get the most pocket time if I want small & light.

Just ordered My first BM M4 mini Griptilian from there custom config. place. Other little ones include Rod Olson damasteel M9 flipper, K390 blade TRE, upcoming MK ultra UHEP soon, And a FFKW sm-100 custom prototype. I think that is all my blades smaller than 3 inches.

I like BM for the small and compact designs they have.
I enjoy a lot my Doug Ritter mini griptilian.
I like the blade shape and the blade material (M390 is my favorite steel).
I don't have small spydercos, but I have to admit that the Techno is really appealing me, maybe I will get one in the future.

From other brands, I like the small sebenza 21. Nothing fancy, they are just right :)

A larger knife that fall in my "small EDC" definition because of its weight is my BM-943BK.
The clip point is a very utilitarian blade shape and it is really unobstrusive in the pocket.
I have put a contego clip on it to have the deep carry.
The 940-1 is fine too, but IMHO the clip point of the 943 make it a better for "light EDC".

Of these 3 the one I carry more is the mini griptilian because of its price.
It has a good handle, good steel, good blade shape and a reasonnable price.... I can use it for any small/light EDC tasks and shall I lots it, I can deal with it more easily...
A non-doug ritter mini grip with a basic steel will be even more affordable.
