Whats your most beat up rat?

If you could design a rat, the perfect knife for you, what would it be?


My beat up rat is my HR. No more coating, some patina...not quite the same tip. But somehow I always grab it before anything else.


My perfect rat would be an HR with a bit more of a point, same belly....with scales.

As far as my perfect knife, that's easy.

Tactical Howler: .200-.210" thick. Saber grind. Thin micarta that doesn't add too much weight or bulk. Handle style similar to the old Busse Public Defender and Groove Master with a flattened butt for hammering, but smaller -- this should feel like a small knife. Black coating with tiger stripe micarta.

That would be darn .

My Desert Jack followed closely by my Ratchet.


I was using the Jack to dig rocks out the other day.

When we were camping my son used the ratchet to pull out some old tent stakes we found. He put the top uder the lip of the stake, put a rock under the ratchet as a fulcrom and then jumped on the handle....worked like a charm!


They both are a lot more beat than this now...but this will give you an idea...

My CT is the most beat up, but the SAR is a close second. I will stick those two into anything, and then just put it back on the stone.
