I was looking through some old stuff today and stumbled upon an odd knife and thought I would ask all you traditonal nuts what was your wierdest blade??

I don't really know anything about this knife other than it's made in Albacete (part of my mums family is from there)... and it creeps me out a bit. Its a fake tiny deer leg knife with fake fur on the inlay and I assume its suppose to reproduce the knives made from tiny Spanish deer legs?! The locking mechanism works really well too, not just for show!

Show us your oddities!

Sticking with the Spanish theme, I've got a Joker, this HUGE stainless Lockback with filework and Olive wood. It's OK in quality but far too big for credible use.

Then a Bulldog clasp knife that has a Copperhead bolster(Barehead) nice action and blade, but the handle material:eek: Ugh! Some acrylic or Cell in a garish pink/red swirl that is like bad-taste lipstick gone very bad :barf: It's so lurid I can't carry it unless I'm sure nobody will see it:D

I have one of those deer foot knives too, here's some different ones I have

Here's a fist full of trick knives:

And finally a Flint and Steel knife that has a built in Fire Starter in the side of the scale.

I also have a glazer's knife, basically a camp knife with a glass cutter blade, I'll see if I can find a pic.

Ted, I know I've seen them before, but I can't remember. What's the trick in the trick knives?

you hold it pivot down and squeeze the tip into the channel. A pin rolls into the slot and locks the knife.
To open, hold it pivot pin up, squeeze it, and the pin rolls out.

Its got to be this Rough Rider stockman with a spey main and clip secondary:

Mine is not a fake deer leg... This was my Grandfather's. Corkscrew has broken off.

Probably still my Sardinian Resolza. No lock, no back spring, no gimmicks of any kind. Just a blade and a horn handle. But I love it.

I gues you could call this unusual - not common anyway.

Case 7254HP SS Equestrian knife.

This is a little unusual , I think: serpentine double-end advertising melon tester from France. (Gerson Co) The other blade is broken off so short there's no question of prying it open.

Probably this Puma from (I think) the late 60's. My parents gave it to me. I think I was in high school.

It's a knife which is also a balance for weighing the fish. You hang the fish on the back of the blade and hold it by the center thong. When the knife is horizontal, you read the weight from the notch from which the fish is hanging.
