Ok, Jerry has delivered big time. I know this one really has a special place in your heart. You know who you are... or just look at the posts. Anyway, now the time has come.... Hogs are flying and Hell has frozen. Which of the possible handles is your favorite on this beautiful Marine Utility Knife- what will you be ordering? To start it out... I'll go.

My favorite is of course the Pumpkin flavored-which is the sample pic. A real close second is also G10- and if supply is no issue-I am ordering the 2nd one as the Tan/Black G10. :D

...on this beautiful Marine Utility Knife...

Whoa whoa whoa - don't get this baby confused with the CRK MUK - thats the marine utility knife you speak of!

This blade pattern was named after the outdoorsman and writer George Sears and his pen name "nessmuk." It was a blade profile that he popularized thus gettin the name nessmuk or "MUK" for short :D

I'll be getting tan canvas and black paper to match my BWM LE :)

Since Jerry is being so generous with the HOG special price, I'm going to take advantage and get the Pumpkin Muk too.

I'm thinking about Black Canvas or Black/Red G10 for myself, really not sure which yet.

For someone I intend to proxy for, Black Canvas or Black g10.

mine will be a user-I'm thinkin black canvas for me but the red and black G10 is tempting

I could be wrong... as I often am. But I thought the original design was made by the military or I should say by a company specifically contracted to make something for the military. dunno. sorry if I was wrong in any case.

we need some photoshops. blue black g10 would probably look about as good as the orange one.

I think the Muk is an OLD design, used by the original mountain men for trapping and skinning.

I could be wrong though, wouldn't be the first time.

And I second the photoshop idea!

I'd like to see the olive drab G-10

Looking for expert opinion on paper vs canvas? I've held both but never used paper and

never skinned with either type.

Thanks

I kind of doubt that the bussmuk came from a military run. As far as I know it's a direct interpretation of the original nessmuk design:

OHHHH MAN! Orange and Black for the HOG price baby!! Thank you mucksters! Thanks Jerry!!

Since the Muk looks perfect for skinning or field dressing. Can any of you field experienced Hogs tell me. Is there a difference in grip when wet/bloody, G-10 or Micarta?
