My dad recently bought me a Busse BWM (my 7th Busse) and I'm loving it, chops like a beast and I really like the handle ergos. In fact, I'm sending it in to Garth this week for a couple simple mods, DC finish and hand-shaped magnum micarta. I prefer my INFI satin or DC and the hand shaped micarta feels amazing in hand.

For those of you that own and have extensively used the BWM, I was interested in your opinions of it. Thanks guys!

its a beast! super light and fast but still enough to chop like crazy! I love that knife!

For a large knife it is light enough to carry comfortably all day. Great chopper that is fast in the hand. The grip is very comfortable even after extended chopping.

I have owned two of them and they are amazing blades. I use mine all the time, as the others have said great chopper, fast, light and the handles are most comfortable. When I got the second one I sipped a little too much of Grandpa's cough medicine and decided to try a flex test with it, lets just say the BWM is very flexable, my friend couldnt believe that it didnt snap the blade. The BWM also olds an edge really well, much better than my old CGFBM did. I have sold almost all of my collection but the BWM is here to stay. I will post pics for you once I get home.

I have always thought highly of the BWM. I miss the days they were in production, they were so much fun to play with.

Well mine shipped out to Garth this morning, gonna miss it while it's gone. It's a serious chopper. I didnt carry out in the field but I can tell it will carry easy, being fairly light. While it's at the Shop I am having the very talented Rick Lowe set a up a baldric-style leather sheath for it. I'll be sure to post up some picks of the knife and sheath in 4-6 weeks, Garth I'm counting on ya buddy!

The BWM is one of those knives that # for # is one of the best knives out there. It is amazing how a knife that thin and lite can cut the way it does. I always said the two knives Jerry put out that were really UNDER RATED was the ZTBM and the BWM. Both knives are outstanding choppers and very easy to use for the 9.5" -10.5" class.

I will do my best.

Post a pic of it please
Already shipped it to Garth so too late for pics, sorry man :(
I'll get some up when it gets back though. It currently has a muddy blade and tan micarta, honestly didnt care for the color scheme even though the knife itself a great performer. I'm going to a DC finish and magnum hand-shaped black micarta.

Well even better , post a pic after the mods

I keep thinking about getting a BWM, the specs make a lot of sense to me. I was surprised that they do not get more love, but my theory is that the rampant popularity of the Basic 10 and 11 put the hurt on the BWM. I would love to hear from folks who have both a b10/11 and a BWM (particularly the slightly thicker LE version) about the pros/cons comparisons of the models. Congrats Pharaoh I'm sure it will make a nice addition to the collection (even nicer after Garth works his magic)

The best one to find is a bwm le. The .22 blade is perfect. But the regular is also a fine light weight blade

^best looker yes, user, meh, Id rather
Have the thinner cg. Both rule and as Russ said, one of the more underrated slabs of bacon.

Mmmmmmm Bushwacker Mistress CG.......and friends
