What's your opinion on the Impala by now?

Frank K just posted a very detailed review of the Impala in the Reviews & Testing Forum within the last few days.
 
The first one I held was disappointing.

I have since held several that are quite nice, and I've grown quite fond of the one I picked up personally.

Solid, smooth, and ergonomic.

I'd recommend it!
 
liner needs not to protrude out of the handle as much as the one that I've seen in a passaround. The blade is quite neat, but I got no need for a fully hunting knife with gut hook. I don't have the means or skills to hunt, nor money for a rifle anyways.
