The picture makes it look more like a Kershaw branded knife. ZT makes me think of hefty and thick folders.

This is a variation on the kershaw version. i think, personally, that i would just go for the kershaw version unless i held one and it turned out to be the best thing ever. it is like a karambit without the hole.

I have one of the original Kershaw Talons. Pretty massive knife in its own right, and a good utility knife. I am looking forward to getting this ZT. I'd like to see how strong they can make it :)

I was just a gnat's nose hair away from buying one of the Kershaw Talons when I ran across the ZT. I'm waiting for one of those instead. I'm on an S30V kick here for some reason. Last three buys have all used it, and I do a ton of breaking down heavy cardboard boxes, so I think the extra dollars will be worth it to me to get more S30V.

As far as I can tell, the handle and blade geometry are identical between the two, and my guess would be that the Speedsafe components are identical too. Me personally, I prefer my blades not be coated because the coating always looks so bad after just one or two days of the kind of use I give it, but when I buy this one, I'm pretty sure it's gonna be a keeper anyway, so no biggie.

That blade shape just screams, "Give me some heavy cardboard!" to me. I'ma gonna oblige. :D

Not the best of ZT's offerings IMO.

If you already have their other knives, on the other hand, go for it!

Meh , as much of a Kershaw fan I am.. That knife doesnt do much for me. I already have a SARK.

I like the blade. Bit unsure how the ergonomics work with that handle curve.
