Just throwing around some ideas here and I was wondering what you would pic.

Im thinking:
Spyderco Mini-Manix.
Spyderco ZDP
Benchmade Skirmish

What do you recommend for that price range?

Just an FYI: I have the BM 690, BM Snody Resistor folder, Kershaw ZDP Leek.....so rule those out.

Thanks guys!

Oh and the knife needs to me EDC material.

Yes I second the Gravitator, it's a beautiful knife also the HK Tactical Folder ( by BM) and the Spyderco Chinook II/III...

I have the Spyderco Viele 2 and like it a lot, as well as the Spyderco Volpe in a bit larger size. These are both very serious knives that do not appear quite as serious as they really are. Actually, the only larger Spydie that I prefer to the Volpe is my old faithful StarMate, long out of production. I also have the ZDP Spyderco Delica4 and Caly Jr. Both are excellent knives, but the Caly Jr. is good bit lighter as it does not have full steel liners while the Delica4 does. The ZDP really does live up to its reputation, at least in the form Spyderco uses it.

The BenchMades that I recommend are the 940 series and the 921 Switchback.

I'd probably be tempted to get a Spyderco C83 Persian before they become scarce.....the "big" Persian has been discontinued, and I think they are destined to become a Classic.

There are so many nice knives in that price range though......I guess that's the good news. Best of luck in your search !

I agree with the wise ones above....

Benchmade 710!

I think the HK34 also referred to as the 14200 BenchMade is one of their best folders. My personal fave is the HK29/14210. I love these knives. Its smaller though.

I have also Waved these and they are quite smooth and easy on pockets thanks to that silky smooth axis and washer set up in these folders.
