Whe here has a Damascus Sebenza ???

I just bought a NEW Lg Standard Sebenza with a Devin Thomas Stainless Steel Damascus blade (basket weave pattern), and is scheduled to be here tomorrow. It is beautiful, but I wondered if anyone here had experience with this Stainless variation. Do I need to keep it covered in the RIG (rust inhibiting grease) the standard carbon steel Damascus blades use?

I have one safe queen that I just wipe down occasionally with a silicone cloth. No problems yet.

I have three Damascus. The only ones you have to be really careful with are the coloured ones, either Blue or Bronze - they are prone to staining.

Anyway these are;

Large Unique Graphic with Reverse Silver and TNK exclusive Basketweave Damascus.
Small Lisa's Pick from Oct' 02 with Blue Spirograph Damascus.
Mnandi with Desert Ironwood and Zebra Damascus.

The stainless damascus is just like other stainless steels when it comes to staining or rusting.
 
They're so backordered on Damascus...My original plan was to buy my large Classic Micarta then order a stainless Damascus blade, but it's goign to take like 9 months so I don't know what to do...

I've got a NICE Medium Mayo TNT in mint condition & lately I've been strongly considering trading it for a small damascus Sebbie.....and now this thread has just about put me over the fence!!!! dont be surprised if you see the TNT go up on the auction block here soon..... Those B & W Devin Thomas high contrast ones are fanfreakintastic!!!
 
Man o man, I cant quit coming back and looking at this thread! Those are some very nice knives fellas....that silver contrast damascus one could be the nicest Sebbie I've ever seen Roefisher, great score! I like them all of course!
