I have recently acquired a few wheels that I am hoping to use for the 2x72 in belt grinder that i am making. The part of the wheel that is in direct contact to the belt is exactly 2 inches wide. Is that wide enough or should the wheel extend beyond the width of the belt? (i.e. a 3 inch wheel or 4 inch on a 2 inch belt)

2" is perfect. I've never measured the width of my wheels but when I center the 2 x 72 belt it covers it perfectly.
