wheel size help

so i just got a 3hp 3ph 3450rpm motor should i run. 4in drive wheel 3in tracking wheel or would a bigger set up be better like 5-4 or 6-4? any help appreciated!

The tracking wheel size shouldn’t need to be changed. Changing the drive wheel will give you faster or slower speeds, which is what I do(4” & 6”), but you would be much better suited with a VFD.

With that motor you want a VFD. I would use a 5" drive wheel. The tracking does not change, and 4" is fine.
