I hope it isn't inappropriate to post this here, but knowing how many people have benefited from it over the years, I just though I'd let everybody here in Shop Talk know that since Photobucket has apparently increased their yearly membership price (once again) to $400, the incredibly helpful and detailed work in progress thread by Nick Wheeler and Lorien will be losing it's images at the end of this year when it takes effect.
Lorien is the one who has been hosting all those pictures and he just let us know over in the C&H sub-forum that he won't be renewing his membership at Photobucket come the new year, and I definitely don't blame him as it's a complete and utter rip off.
Anyway, I just thought a number of you here would be interested know this so that if you want to, you still have time to go and save that WIP to keep with you for whenever you want to reference it.
FWIW, I just finished saving each page as a PDF file to my laptop, which took maybe a little more than an hour for about 30 pages, as my laptop isn't the fasted to load internet photos. IMHO, it's definitely worth the time and "effort" with all the valuable information that it has. I still reference it fairly often for help on my knife builds.
If you're using google Chrome, all you have to do press "CTRL+P" (or print) and under the printers list, choose "Print to PDF" as your printer and hit save. Do that for each page and that's it.
Here is the link to the WIP thread for convenience:
