When a Mora just won't cut it !

Posted this on the main forum but guess I should put it here as well !

Everyone knows I like my weird big fat blades but just recently I got to thinking how it might be nice to have a simple design around the size of a Mora but full tang.

One I had been looking at was the BHK Boat-tail scandi but I'm not a huge fan of scandi grinds even though I know they are effective for many tasks.
I'd kinda put my quest to the back of my mind when I spotted one that Mark Wohlwend had made, to me it looked just what I was looking for.
Anyways to cut a long story short it came today and I love it !!!

I'm sure Mark read my mind on this one, perfect sized handle, no frills but just a nicely done knife...

Got a weekend away shortly where this knife will be the perfect companion....thanks for another awesome knife Mark !;):thumbup:
 
so.. Mark...... just out of curiosity...








could you make another knife just like this one?? if so, how much would one of these run...:D and what's your wait time like these days...:)

Mnt Flk Mike, I think I priced this for 99.00 for the knife.... As to wait time...welll ..... not to sure...it is a bit right now!

I was going to say the same after Ray posted but didn't want to offend ya, I guess when two makers spend time together they both become slightly influenced by the other eh !

I really need to get influenced by Mark's weight loss! He's doing incredibly good while I seen to be getting fatter:o

right on Mark...:thumbup: if you're willing to make me one just like it, put me down on the end of your list, once again...:D

i would prefer O1 steel(or 1095) and natural micarta scales, if possible..:)

keep me posted...



Pit--- what are the specs on that blade?? blade/handle length..

Yeah Pit, post up the specs so I know how to build another one... LOL, it was a one-off I just built between orders! (note to self: need to start making patterns of EVERTHING)
