I ordered a custom NMFBM this month. It won't come in for many, many more months but I am both regretting and looking forward to it (but more looking forward to it), if that makes any sense.

NMFSH

I can not wait to see what he did with that.

1998 - Basic 5 was the first.

Many, many times since then.

My order upon release of the NMFBM:

If you are talking hurt so good expenditure wise, it would be these two I scored last year at the AG Russell show.

They fit in well with some of my other biguns at the time.

And of course they make great users!
The Zilla is the splitting and chopping champ in my collection. It's a beast!

The BWM LE bowie variant is no slouch either, especially after smoothing the handles to feel even better!

Thanks, Tim. I always wondered how that custom BWM performed. I don't know whether the recurve and clip point take away enough from the knife to be able to use it for heavy camping stuff, but at the same time, it's INFI so I don't really have many doubts. I got a bowie-style variant of the Team Gemini from the recent Knoboganza and it also has me curious how it would perform against wood, considering the Team Gemini was an unexpectedly great all-around knife as well.

The sharp swedge on the clip is harder on baton sticks, but not enough to make the job much harder. The offset is you make a bunch of little wood chips for fire starter at the same time.
This BWM chops pretty decent, but would do better with a handle material lighter than the G10 to shift the weight a bit more forward. It is very neutral in hand but you don't get tired as fast and can chop longer. I would feel very comfortable with it as an only blade should the need arise.

I think you will find that your TG does very well in use since the weight removed from the clip is still there where the fuller was not ground out, maybe even a hair heavier than a standard TG as a result.

Tim
It brings a tear of joy to my eye when I see pics of the KZ's getting beat.:D Keep up the good work and great scores.
