I'd love to see a SR knife that's quick, pointier than the other SR models and sports a sharpened top edge.

Is there any chance that such a blade will be released in the foreseeable future?
 
Good Question. :D

I doubt we will release anything with a fully sharpened top edge, mainly because of legal reasons. In too many locations this would be considered a dagger and illegal, so we would hesitate to put something like this into full production.

However, there is nothing saying we can't release something similar without a fully sharpened top edge ;):D:D
 
You know QS I was thinking the same thing just yesterday.

I don't know about a back edge or anything but a cross guard might be nice. Best and safest thing to do though is make sure it's not a Bagwell clone. Something in the 3-7 inch range, that doesn't look like anything else and is distinctly Ratty.
 
Eric, I think it's time to officially announce the Bandicoot XL. ;) :D
 
I would very Much like to buy a Pure Bred style Knife from Swamp Rat, as long as it's cheap.

I dunno...we already have the CT to be the ton-of-bricks camp knife. I like the idea of a 6.25 X 3/16 inch Bandicoot as a quick, slightly forward balanced field blade. Or, maybe a neat new thickness, like 13/64... :D

Pretty good idea, I'd prefer 49/256" though. :D

Seriously, an XXL Bandicoot would be nice, but at least put an unsharpened top edge and a more pronounced guard on it, please.
 
All Swamp Rats come with an unsharpened top edge!! It's 1/4 inch thick zero edge (hence, you can't see where the grind starts)---the sturdiest in the industry! :p :D
