I would like to know if "Blade" can make its way over to LA, at some point in the near future? Or i'm i crazy for wanting to bring freedom to a socialistic state?

I've been wishing that for a long time. Looks like we will just have to attend local shows. There will be a knife expo here in October that is sponsored by Plaza Cutlery. They are located at the South Coast Plaza and you should contact them for more info.

I just had an idea. I think that I'll wear a T-shirt saying that "I'm ERdept on blade forums", to see if there are any other forumites there as well.

Blade West used to be held in Ontario, CA. They moved it up to Protland, OR last year; in part, because of all the knife companies located in that area. I think the Republic of CA's view of knives in general helped make the move all the easier.

Don't you mean krazyfornia.... Hell I'm suprised they don't start banning all but kitchen knives

You guys had your chance, but the attendance was going down hill so they moved it to Portland, I'm happy about that, only 2hrs. away!

They should move it to Minnesota. Right in the middle of it all, and fishing galore.
But then you have to deal with the MN state bird...

BUT, I'd risk a swarm of starving skeeters for a chance to attend Blade! :D

(But my wife keeps rolling her eyes every time I bring it up...maybe next year)

Minnesota? Hell Chicago would do....but then you would run into similar problems like Californication.........

Bring some bug spray.

Or they could set up those mosquito magnet things all over the place.

I think the midwest is a perfect location, nice and central. (not to mention close to me :D )

Being 3.5 hours away, Chicago would work for me.
Wauseon, OH would be even better!:D

I-Skunk - so for planning purposes when is the Portland show. Will have to arrange some business up that way.....:D
