Jeff,
Just a historical question - when did Buck start using predominantly stainless steels in their knives? I mean, didn't H.H. Buck start out making knives out of old files? In what year did they get away from high carbon in favor of stainless? And is there a way that I can tell from looking when a knife was made?
I see a lot of old Buck knives at flea markets and such - I'm just wondering if there's a good way to tell.
TIA,
Mike
