When did CRK start shipping Sebenza's in boxes?

I'm guessing '96 or later.

I know about the Nylon pouch, was there any other earlier items?

I have a small numbered P Sebenza dated 12/1/93 that came with a box. The nylon sheath was also included.

Thanks.
I was bidding on a 1995 Sebenza. The seller said it didn't originally come with a box.

I know the knife you are referring to.

It also did not have a pocket clip, even though the titanium slab was machined for one.

I was winning til the last seconds.
There are too many people with more money than me :-(

...Now, how about thumblugs. How many different types over the years?

I know of 2 different designs that have been used, along with a small variation of one. The early models had the smooth conical shape with hand-filled ridges on one side. When the Regulars were introduced in '96, CR started using the stacked-ring design that you still see today. The very earliest of this type had 5 layers, and then after sometime in late 1997-early 1998 they switched to the 4 stack design we now have.

I've sure learned a lot reading this thread, thank you for starting it Sigifrith and thank you Dallas for responding.

So this would be someone filing down existing lugs?
